Join a Committee
The MN Campus Alliance welcomes everyone and anyone to join working and planning committees that develop strategies and plan events aimed at creating connections and uniting for change across the state.
Help plan events such as the Minnesota OUT! Campus Conference, the Spring Dinner, or other programming on our Events Committee. Or join other working committees such as Communications, Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Education, Finance, Membership, Staff & Faculty, and Technology.
Join the Board
The MN Campus Alliance is looking for dedicated and passionate students, staff, faculty, and community members who would like to join its Board to serve a full term. These positions include the following:

Co-Chairs: Facilitate Board meetings, assign tasks to Coordinators and Representatives as needed, provide organizational structure and direction, build partnerships and coalitions with other campus and community organizations, ensure the organization is fulfilling its mission, maintain a public image consistent with the values and expectations of the Board.

Communications Coordinator: Develops and maintains publications and literature, delivers a monthly newsletter to all subscribers, controls the MN Campus Alliance brand, develops press releases, public relations campaigns and structures.

Development Coordinator: Researches fundraising and grant opportunities, applies for funding and grants, builds individual/community/corporate donor bases, builds relationships with current and potential donors.

Education Coordinator: Implements outreach to GLBTA Campus organizations across the state, trains the MN Campus Alliance Board, develops educational trainings that serve campuses/organizations/corporations.

Events Coordinator: Plans and orchestrates events, recruits volunteers, works with host institutions/venues.

Finance Coordinator: Maintains MN Campus Alliance finances, collects receipts, sends invoices, reports financial statements and activities, files taxes, oversees budget.

Membership Coordinator: Builds and maintains an active membership, identifies individuals/organizations for membership, maintains records of membership.

Staff & Faculty Coordinator: Recruits staff and faculty as active members, develops programming and services, maintains correspondence with institutional departments and offices.

Technology Coordinator: Develops and maintains website, implements technology into MN Campus Alliance events, meetings, and organizational structures.

Community Representatives: Develops good relationships with community organizations, looks for ways to partner with community at large, identifies potential opportunities for individuals and organizations.

MnSCU Representatives: Conducts outreach to Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, maintains partnerships with GLBTA campus organizations at campus institutions.

Private System Representatives: Conducts outreach to private campuses, maintains partnerships with GLBTA campus organizations at campus institutions.

U of M Representatives: Conducts outreach to the University of Minnesota System, maintains partnerships with GLBTA campus organizations at campus institutions.
